Yeah, Mahogany....MADONNA was a "pure" artist, which is what I loved about her. She was like Streisand in that way---but without the range of talent that Streisand had. But still, Madonna was an amazing caricaturist and very saavy about pop music---she created incredibly nuanced hit singles---and what I admired most about her is that she......absolutely LOVED and celebrated being a White Woman. She loved herself.

That's why I liked her better than I did Janet and Whitney and Mary J.----because although I loved those 3 and related to them, they never seemed "STRONG" or "invincible" to me like Madonna did. There was an underlying self-hatred that always smeared the black women artists. Which is the same reason I can't get into West Africa's big woman superstar---Angelique Kidjoe (the blonde from Benin). I don't like black women in white women's drag. It's insulting.
