I have NEVER seen a motion picture couple of ANY RACE ....with more chemistry than Billy Dee Williams and Diana Ross in "Lady Sings the Blues" and "Mahogany".   I also loved the images of Paul Winfield and Cicely Tyson in "SOUNDER". And then James Earl Jones and Cicely Tyson in "The River Niger"-----was far more realistic and more LOVING than James Earl Jones and Diahann Carroll were in "Claudine"---although I love that film and the soundtrack from "Claudine" REMAINS my all time favorite album. |
