I think if I had to choose between a book and food, the book would win. And thanks also for letting me know where everyone is from. I was born in OH, raised in AR, went to college in LA and am now stuck in the Boonies, AL...ROFL, in between two big cities, but 45 minutes from a bookstore. Whew...thank God for Amazon.com!!! I'm also a hop away from Atlanta, so I try to go once a month or every other month. As for the Air Force, that was a bit bittersweet for me. I hated what I did, but I really couldn't bare the idea of putting Joy in daycare. LOL. I was in the Communications-Computer Field, AFSC 331SC...I worked as a Project Manager in the Software Development field for the majority of my time in...and I also served a stint as an Exec...that was pretty cool. As far as traveling...LOL, I didn't. I've always wanted to be close enough to home that I could get there within a days notice if I had to, so I passed up on opportunities to go overseas and probably would be headed there now with no choice had I stayed in. I miss it...especially the benefits...and the dang commissary...not to mention the pay check, but I also love being a full time Mom, wife, and book junkie extraordinaire. Ahahha. Where else did you go? I have a friend who LOVED Japan...I think she's there now for a second tour. I can't believe I stayed stateside...MS - VA - MS - AL...dang shame huh? Oh well. Thanks again for the intro. I look forward to hanging out with you guys! It's been fun so far.. -Tee |
