Hey, but the Russians might incinerate us if we try to check on them, eh? I think they have in mind a military/political/economic domination of the whole region--after Iraq falls (and they ain't got a chance, really) Syria and Iran are next. Problem is, this will just shift all the troubles in the region over to good ol' Joe Sixpack and his wives, sons and daughters.
