Okay Thump, help me out here. This is a time that you can tell me that my mind is slipping ...because it is. I am a big Walter Moseley fan. If I could write like anyone, it would be him. I like his simple stories. His writing style is not filled with to many metephors and flowery prose.

I own several of his books but my memory of Socrates Fortlow is ...well, dim. I can see a large man in humble surroundings. I believe he lives a minimal life. Didn't he do time? I think in one of his books he worked in a grocery store?

Didn't Lawrence Fishburn play him in a movie?
