Using that criteria you could go broke. Everybody who writes a book has potential. My point is is that black readers do have a right to be discriminating when it comes to investing their money in a book.

Sistah Souljah had to have made a bundle on TCWE. After 10 years, she finally follows this up with what is generally judged to be a dud. So much for potential.

And, yes, I know, black readers likewise have a right to support "flash-in-the-pan" authors.
