I bow to both your internet search skills. Was I blind or was this information actually available on the NAACP site?

I actually did not think they would give Hill awards in both categories. I knew he would win one.

Whoopie was a suprise, but deserved defeat. The "Moses: When Harriet Tubman Led Her People to Freedom," is a Black book, with great illustrations.

...after visiting the NAACP web site, it looks like the voting is by the public, if that is the case; then that fact that celebrity is factor comes as no surprise. People, in the aggregate, will vote for the most popular author or subject.
