The problem with that statement is that many of those people are lumping themselves into the same category as Blacks who were living under the gun and FORCED into having mixed raced children. That is NOT what's happening in this age; despite the fact that I understand the "WHYS", the reality is that people are making those choices---NOT being forced into them (brainwashed yeah...but not forced). This alone distinguishes someone like Malcolm X's mother (the biracial child of a rape) from someone like Jasmine Guy or Tiger Woods (the biracial children of choice). In other words, people are trying to silence us about the reality of what's going on by claiming that we're "mixed just like them"...but, it ain't so.
