Well, Thumper, the argument could be made, and even Monique admits it, that her acting wasn't that much of a stretch for her because she's familiar with the degradation found in the ghetto, and her persona in real life is that of a "street bytch". Meryl Streep, also a favorite to cop an Oscar nomination for her highly-touted portrayal of Julia Child, may take it all. Hollywood politics will come into play.
I don't know whose grandchildren were disrupting your enjoyment of the movie but you know Cynique is too "bougie" to have granddaughters who even have kids, much less bring them to the show. |
