The last time I heard someone say "coon" it came from the same person that called a black man "colored". Really, what is a coon? Seriously, is it a black person?"
Let me explain something to you my friend because you and I obviously live in two different realities. Actually -he is a zip coon. And updated version of the original coon. Why a coon you ask? Because he exemplifies the most negative stereotype and self disfiguring image of a black person. He plays into all the pernicious widespread beliefs that whites (and every other race and ethnicity) have of blacks. Buffoonery and coonery are interchangeable. What? You didn’t know this?
Carey, do you have any qualms about a black man who promotes himself as a pimp and pimping as an acceptable behavior? Yes, I know it’s a prevaricating stage act but it does not matter. Would it be ok if I pawned myself as a crack dealer? Would it be ok if I made jokes about selling crack? Why would pimping, a vile and destructive behavior that does nothing but degrade and destroy the lives of young women be ok? Is recruiting and encouraging black women to be prostitutes something you approve of? If not -then why would I see humor in a man who makes a living making people laugh about being a pimp? So, when you make a living portraying yourself as a pimp and then illegally break into someone’s home (also known as burglary) with the criminal intent of theft, you are a conscious and deliberate purveyor of a widely held malignant negative image that plagues black men. It’s called coonery.

Well, if you break into someone’s home to rob them of their personal property, that qualifies you as a thug to me. Look, I’m not going to play the politically correct race game with you nor am I going to debate your personal eristic text book definition of a thug. The man was arrested before for carrying three guns in a car which were confiscated by New York City police even though he somehow wiggled out of that case (you guessed it –good lawyer) but he was previously arrested (2006) for carrying a concealed gun. And recently, he was also arrested at the Los Angeles International Airport for carrying a gun in suit case WTF?? NOW HE WAS ARRESTED FOR A TOTALLY INDEFINSIBLE CRIMINAL ACT OF BURGLARY? HE’S A THUG! What do you not understand??!!

If you are convicted of a felony crime –you are a thug. Now, to be fair, that does not mean that you have to remain a thug for the rest of your life. Some people change. I recognize this. But again, I’m not going to debate this with you and I will tell you why. First of all, let me say in all honesty Carey, I do like you. I like the way you like to conjole and ignite the debate. Your role as the thought provocateur is appreciated. Trust me. But you and I have very divergent views. You seem to be thug and criminal friendly. I’m not. You will make excuses and rationalize coonery and criminality. I will not. Why? Because black people, as a group, suffer horrendously from criminal acts. No other group in this nation suffers from whole communities being under siege, intimidation and fear of being robbed, beaten, shot and murdered than black Americans. And who is perpetrating these acts of violence and intimidation on black people –OTHER BLACK PEOPLE! Just pick up any major metropolitan news paper (Atlanta, Washington D.C., Newark, Detroit, Philadelphia, St. Louis, et al) and read the weekly hospitalizations and body counts in the morgues from virulent violent acts. I did a stint with the Military Police and I was a corrections officer before -so there is absolutely nothing you are going to tell me about criminality, thugs and felons. As I have previously stated, you and I have two totally different views about crime and race.

Black, white, Latino, Eskimo or Pigmy, don’t matter to me –a thug is a thug! I don’t attach deleterious racial sentimentality to criminality as you do. I carry “one ruler” in my back pocket and I measure everyone by the same standard! Bottom line: NO EXCUSES!!!!!!!

Am I a coon? Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! That’s funny. But let me answer your question. Since I don’t make a living robbing people, not a career criminal, not into pimping, selling drugs, sexually or physically harassing women, I don’t assault or threaten other black people (or any other race), not into stealing, doing drive bys -wounding and killing innocent people, illegally carrying concealed weapons, not in a violent parasitic street gang, indulge in impulsive and senseless violence, bringing disgrace to my race by consciously playing to the worst negative perceptions, expectations and stereotypes of black people, indulging in offensive and inexcusable antisocial behavior and I’m don’t burglarize and rob homes (hint…hint….), no, I am not a coon.

Tell ya what, I’ll concede this. Since he has not been convicted yet, legally at this point, it is technically –an alleged crime. But answer this, how in the hell can he convincingly explain why he was arrested in a home that was not his and without the permission of the owner (even though his lawyers are trying to claim he was a guest)?
