I am Black.
My spouse is Black.
My children are Black.
Both of my and my wife’s parents are Black.
My and my wife’s siblings are Black.
My and my wife’s siblings’ spouses & children are Black.
And NONE of us would be confused with or be considered White or (with, perhaps, the exception of my mother-in-law) even lightskinned African Americans.
That, my dear, is the “teaching” that this “old-head” Black man has received and has imparted.
